GPI North America has recently provided the Aviss family with $200 worth of gift certificates for the beautiful Harrison Hot Springs Resort, in appreciation for their outstanding hospitality. The Aviss family is a very experienced host, providing more than 100 students and their guardians with memorable homestay accommodations. One student remarked that “Staying with the Aviss family was the highlight of my trip to Canada… I learned all about what it means to have a truly “warm heart”.

GPI North America offers $200 Harrison Hot Springs Gift Certificates to ALL host families that have hosted students five or more times in 2014!! The certificates can be used for accommodation, meals, or even spa facilities. This is a symbol of our appreciation towards these loyal and dependable GPI host families.

ESL & Cross Cultural Program

19 Kwansei Gakuin University students spent an eventful 18 days in Vancouver, from Feb. 23rd to March 12th.  The group included first, second and third time visitors, and all students resided with homestay families while taking part in ESL and cross-cultural communication programs.  On March 7th, Gordon Kadota, chief director of Kwansei University Alumni Vancouver, visited the students at the study centre and gave an impassioned speech about improving one’s English ability, developing one’s personal identity, and becoming a true global citizen.  We trust that the group has taken Mr. Kadota’s message to heart.
